Spanish Forward Gas Update – 25/01/2021
On the last day reported on the Spanish forward gas market (January 22nd), reference prices moved up pushed by the upward pressures in European gas markets.
On the 22nd, 43.4 GWh were traded for delivery in Feb-21. There were no exchanges reported in longer-term contracts.
Regarding reference prices:
Feb-21 price increased to 22.88 €/MWh (+1.13 €/MWh).
Q2-21 price moved up to 17.96 €/MWh (+0.31 €/MWh).
Cal-22 price was 17.92 €/MWh (+0.07 €/MWh).
On the 22nd, Brent barrel price decreased to 55.41 $/bbl (-0.69 $/bbl) and CO2 Dec-21 price went up to 34.24 €/t (+0.13 €/t).
On the European gas markets: on the 22nd TTF MA price increased to 21.45 €/MWh (+1.31 €/MWh) and PEG MA price went up to 21.50 €/MWh (+1.20 €/MWh). TTF Cal-22 was traded at 16.68 €/MWh (+0.05 €/MWh).
