Spanish Forward Gas Update – 28/01/2021
On the last day reported on the Spanish forward gas market (January 27th), reference prices showed different movements. Month-ahead prices decreased while longer-term reference prices moved up driven by the increase in European forward gas prices.
On the 27th, 34.4 GWh were traded for delivery in Feb-21 and 23.3 GWh were traded for delivery in Mar-21.
Regarding reference prices:
Feb-21 price decreased to 20.99 €/MWh (-0.44 €/MWh).
Q2-21 price moved up to 17.40 €/MWh (+0.21 €/MWh).
Cal-22 price went up to 17.79 €/MWh (+0.12 €/MWh).
On the 27th, Brent barrel price decreased to 55.81 $/bbl (-0.10 $/bbl) and CO2 Dec-21 price moved down to 33.28 €/t (-0.07 €/t).
On the European gas markets: on the 27th TTF MA price increased to 19.68 €/MWh (+0.17 €/MWh) and PEG MA price went up to 19.60 €/MWh (+0.10 €/MWh). TTF Cal-22 was traded at 16.51 €/MWh (+0.11 €/MWh).
