Spot gas ES – 25/01/2021
Spanish DA price goes up with respect previous weekday due to higher power sector demand.
Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 25th amounts to 28.6 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 24th amounted to 139.5 GWh.
Spanish DA reference price for the 25th moves down to 24.49 €/MWh (+1.31 €/MWh) with respect to previous Friday.
Demand forecast for the 25th amounts to 1,219 GWh (+64 GWh) with respect to previous Friday. Conventional demand decreases slightly to 1,050 GWh (-11 GWh) and power sector demand goes up to 169 GWh (+75 GWh) due to higher CCGTs’ utilization.
On the 24th, LNG inflows were 30.7% of total supply. Inflows from France amounted to 164 GWh, 16% of total supply.
On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 25th is 21.62 €/MWh and PEG price is 21.65 €/MWh.
