Spot gas ES – 26/01/2021

Spanish spot gas prices go down due to the fall of European gas prices while demand increase slightly.

Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 26^th amounts to 56 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 25^th amounted to 144.4 GWh.

Spanish DA reference price for the 26^th moves down to 23.34 €/MWh (-1.15 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 26^th decreases to 23.59 €/MWh (-0.41 €/MWh).

Demand forecast for the 26^th amounts to 1,242 GWh (+23 GWh) with respect to previous day. Conventional demand remains stable at 1,045 GWh (+2 GWh) and power sector demand goes up to 197 GWh (+25 GWh).

On the 25^th, LNG inflows were 36.2% of total supply. Inflows from France amounted to 188 GWh, 16% of total supply.

On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 26^th goes down to 20.33 €/MWh (-1.29 €/MWh) and PEG price decreases to 20.45 €/MWh (-1.20 €/MWh).
