Spanish Forward Gas Update – 05/02/2021
On the last day reported on the Spanish forward gas market (February 4th), reference prices showed different movements. Month and quarter-ahead prices went up due to the increase in demand while year-ahead price remained stable.
On the 4th, 23.3 GWh were traded for delivery in Mar-21. There were no exchanges reported in longer-term contracts.
Regarding reference prices:
Mar-21 price moved up to 17.83 €/MWh (+0.41 €/MWh).
Q2-21 price went up to 17.09 €/MWh (+0.21 €/MWh).
Cal-22 price was 17.80 €/MWh (-0.01 €/MWh).
On the 4th, Brent barrel price was 58.84 $/bbl (+0.38 $/bbl) and CO2 Dec-21 price moved down to 37.27 €/t (-0.16 €/t).
On the European gas markets: on the 4th TTF MA price increased to 18.18 €/MWh (+0.32 €/MWh) and PEG MA price went up to 18.02 €/MWh (+0.19 €/MWh). TTF Cal-22 was traded at 16.80 €/MWh (+0.07 €/MWh).
