Spanish Forward Gas Update – 10/02/2021
On the last day reported on the Spanish forward gas market (February 9th), reference prices went down in all maturities due to decreasing European gas prices.
On the 9th, 76.3 GWh were traded for delivery in Mar-21. There were no exchanges reported in longer-term contracts.
Regarding reference prices:
Mar-21 price moved down to 18.25 €/MWh (-0.93 €/MWh).
Q2-21 price went down to 17.78 €/MWh (-0.18 €/MWh).
Cal-22 price decreased to 18.48 €/MWh (-0.18 €/MWh).
On the 9th, Brent barrel price was 61.09 $/bbl (+0.53 $/bbl) and CO2 Dec-21 price fell to 38.26 €/t (-0.35 €/t).
On the European gas markets: on the 9th TTF MA price decreased to 19.11 €/MWh (-1.05 €/MWh) and PEG MA price went down to 18.80 €/MWh (-1.07 €/MWh). TTF Cal-22 was traded at 17.40 €/MWh (-0.15 €/MWh).
