Spanish Forward Gas Update – 25/02/2021
Reference prices showed different movements. Month-ahead prices decreased while longer-term reference prices moved up driven by the increase in European forward gas prices.
On the 24th, 0.3 GWh were traded for delivery in Mar-21 and 7.2 GWh were traded for delivery in Apr-21.
Regarding reference prices:
Mar-21 price decreased to 15.88 €/MWh (-0.04 €/MWh).
Q2-21 price went up to 16.37 €/MWh (+0.14 €/MWh).
Cal-22 price increased to 17.76 €/MWh (+0.22 €/MWh).
On the 24th, Brent barrel price was 67.04 $/bbl (+1.67 $/bbl) and CO2 Dec-21 price moved up to 39.15 €/t (+0.48 €/t).
On the European gas markets: on the 24th TTF MA price increased to 16.35 €/MWh (+0.09 €/MWh) and PEG MA price went up to 16.13 €/MWh (+0.04 €/MWh). TTF Cal-22 was 16.75 €/MWh (+0.15 €/MWh).
