Spot gas ES – 05/02/2021

Spanish spot gas prices move up influenced by the increase in European gas prices.

Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 5^th amounts to 51.5 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 4^th amounted to 105 GWh, 10% of daily demand.

Spanish DA reference price for the 5^th moves up to 17.85 €/MWh (+0.38 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 5^th increases to 18.29 €/MWh (+0.63 €/MWh).

Demand forecast for the 5^th decreases to 1,057 GWh (-88 GWh) with respect to previous day. Conventional demand goes down to 928 GWh (-12 GWh) due to lower industrial consumption on Fridays and power sector demand moves down to 129 GWh (-76 GWh).

On the 4^th, LNG inflows were 47.7% of total supply. There were no inflows from France.

On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 5^th increases to 18.22 €/MWh (+0.22 €/MWh) and PEG price moves up to 17.91 €/MWh (+0.12 €/MWh).
