Spot gas ES – 15/02/2021

Spanish spot gas prices move down due to the decrease in European gas prices and lower demand.

Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 15^th amounts to 10.6 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 14^th amounted to 113 GWh, 11% of daily demand.

Spanish DA reference price for the 15^th moves down to 17.32 €/MWh (-0.40 €/MWh) with respect to previous Friday. Intraday auction price for the 15^th decreases to 16.00 €/MWh (-1.48 €/MWh).

Demand forecast for the 15^th decreases to 1,015 GWh (-11 GWh) with respect to previous Friday. Conventional demand goes up to 942 GWh (+8 GWh) and power sector demand moves down to 73 GWh (-19 GWh).

On the 14^th, LNG inflows were 41% of total supply. There were no inflows from France.

On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 15^th decreases to 17.70 €/MWh (-0.28 €/MWh) and PEG price moves down to 17.91 €/MWh (-0.03 €/MWh).
