Spot gas ES – 17/02/2021

Spanish spot gas prices move up slightly due to the increase in European gas markets.

Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 17^th amounts to 54.8 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 16^th amounted to 110 GWh, 10.2 % of daily demand.

Spanish DA reference price for the 17^th is 16.13 €/MWh (+0.03 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 17^th increases to 16.50 €/MWh (+0.50 €/MWh).

Demand forecast for the 17^th goes down slightly to 1,078 GWh (-3 GWh) with respect to previous day. Conventional demand is 954 GWh (+3 GWh) and power sector demand decreases to 124 GWh (-6 GWh).

On the 16^th, LNG inflows were 44.5% of total supply. There were no inflows from France.

On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 17^th increases to 16.64 €/MWh (+0.12 €/MWh) and PEG price moves up to 16.65 €/MWh (+0.13 €/MWh).
