Spot gas ES – 02/02/2021
Spanish spot gas prices move down due to the decrease in European prices while demand remains stable.
Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 2nd amounts to 55.1 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 1st amounted to 112 GWh.
Spanish DA reference price for the 2nd moves down to 18.11 €/MWh (-1.80 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 2nd decreases to 17.75 €/MWh (-1.66 €/MWh).
Demand forecast for the 2nd increases to 993 GWh (+11 GWh) with respect to previous day. Conventional demand goes up to 903 GWh (+6 GWh), and power sector demand moves up to 90 GWh (+5 GWh).
On the 1st, LNG inflows were 44% of total supply. Spanish outflows to France were 11.6 GWh.
On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 2nd goes down to 18.15 €/MWh (-2.17 €/MWh) and PEG price decreases to 19.93 €/MWh (-1.87 €/MWh).
