Spot gas ES – 16/02/2021

Spanish DA gas prices goes down pushed by lower European prices while intraday auction price remains stable.

Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 16^th amounts to 85 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 15^th amounted to 122 GWh, 11.6 % of daily demand.

Spanish DA reference price for the 16^th moves down to 16.10 €/MWh (-1.22 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 16^th remains stable at 16.00 €/MWh.

Demand forecast for the 16^th goes up to 1,052 GWh (+29 GWh) with respect to previous day. Conventional demand moves up to 942 GWh (+5 GWh) and power sector demand increases to 110 GWh (+24 GWh).

On the 15^th, LNG inflows were 44.4% of total supply. There were no inflows from France.

On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 16^th decreases to 16.52 €/MWh (-1.18 €/MWh) and PEG price moves down to 17.19 €/MWh (-1.40 €/MWh).
