Spot gas ES – 19/02/2021
Spanish spot gas prices move down due to decreasing demand. Demand decreases pushed by lower power sector consumption.
Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 19th amounts to 77.6 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 18th amounted to 132 GWh, 13.2 % of daily demand.
Spanish DA reference price for the 19th goes down to 16.05 €/MWh (-0.38 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 19th decreases to 16.16 €/MWh (-0.14 €/MWh).
Demand forecast for the 19th goes down to 998 GWh (-41 GWh) with respect to previous day. Conventional demand decreases to 902 GWh (-26 GWh) and power sector demand decreases to 96 GWh (-15 GWh).
On the 18th, LNG inflows were 40.8% of total supply. There were no inflows from France.
On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 19th moves down to 17.01 €/MWh (+0.58 €/MWh) and PEG price goes down to 17.05 €/MWh (+0.69 €/MWh).
