Spot gas ES – 02/03/2021
Spanish DA gas price moves up while intraday auction price decreases. Demand goes up influenced by higher power sector consumption.
Volume traded in DA contracts for delivery on the 2nd amounts to 37.7 GWh. Total spot volumes traded on MIBGAS for delivery on the 1st amounted to 69 GWh.
Spanish DA reference price for the 2nd goes up slightly to 16.44 €/MWh (+0.02 €/MWh) with respect to previous day. Intraday auction price for the 2nd moves down to 16.30 €/MWh (-1.20 €/MWh).
Demand forecast for the 2nd increases to 1,147 GWh (+53 GWh) with respect to previous day consolidated demand. Conventional demand goes down to 955 GWh (-10 GWh), and power sector demand moves up to 192 GWh (+63 GWh).
On the 1st, LNG inflows were 38.1% of total supply. There were no inflows from France.
On the European gas markets: TTF end of day price for the 2nd increases to 16.38 €/MWh (+0.54 €/MWh) and PEG price moves up to 16.07 €/MWh (+0.40 €/MWh).
