Spanish Forward Power Update – 11/03/2021
On the last day reported on the Spanish forward gas market (March 8th), reference prices moved down in all maturities influenced by the decrease in European forward gas prices.
On the 8th, 3 GWh were traded for delivery in Apr-21. There were no exchanges reported in longer-term contracts.
Regarding reference prices:
Apr-21 price decreased to 16.05 €/MWh (-0.08 €/MWh).
Q2-21 price went down to 16.35 €/MWh (-0.05 €/MWh).
Cal-22 price moved down to 18.03 €/MWh (-0.05 €/MWh).
On the 8th, Brent barrel price was 68.24 $/bbl (-1.12 $/bbl) and CO2 Dec-21 price moved up to 39.13 €/t (+0.11 €/t).
On the European gas markets: on the 8th TTF MA price decreased to 16.16 €/MWh (-0.21 €/MWh) and PEG MA price went down to 15.99 €/MWh (-0.19 €/MWh). TTF Cal-22 was 16.96 €/MWh (-0.04 €/MWh).
